In Hakone, a ropeway climbs the slope of Komagatake and reaches the viewpoint at Mototsumiya. As the cabin rises, Lake Ashi and the surrounding forests open up, and on a clear day you may see the outline of Mount Fuji. A small shrine at the top keeps the view quiet company.
Mountain weather changes fast and runs cool, so bring a thin jacket. Seeing Fuji depends on the weather and is not guaranteed. There may be a short walk at the top, so wear comfortable shoes.
