SpringHill Suites Dallas Downtown/West End

Overall, a good stay here. I had a long 24hr + transit in DFW and decided to stay downtown at this property to explore the area. Unfortunately, many homeless and suspicious individuals inhabit the nearby area, especially around the West End transit stop. Walking around the property doesn't feel the safest and I probably wouldn't catch transit from the airport with all of my belongings again. However, security were evident in the lobby of the hotel upon checking-in, and once inside safety is not a problem. Staff were friendly and efficient during my limited interactions with them and even offered me free bottles of water at check-in. The free breakfast is decent, with a few hot dishes (scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, oatmeal), a pancake maker, a bread selection with toasters and a variety of cold yoghurts and milk / cereal available. A simple coffee and tea maker is also present. The rooms are spacious and I considered it to be good value for my stay. It was clean, however the living area is notably quite dark and absent of a ceiling light, though this was not an issue for my stay. I do hope the local authorities can get on top of the situation in the surrounding areas, as the property is otherwise great, and I would happily stay here again if I found myself returning to Dallas.

We stayed here to go to the Aquarium and a Dallas Wings game and it was perfect. Our room was clean and very nice. Check in and check out was easy and the receptionist was fabulous. We also left our bags to go explore for the day on checkout day and they were more than happy to hold our bags and had them safely tucked away. Highly recommend staying here if you are doing something in the downtown area.

I couldn't for the life of me figure out how the ac worked. I ended up just turning it off because it was way too cold in the room (or so i thought) but it still turned back on in the night. Staff was friendly and there is an aquarium right across the street. Train stop also close by. Delaney Plaza is in walking distance (which i was able to visit.) There are snacks and drinks in the lobby for purchase and complimentary hot breakfast. I had a good stay here.
