Ibsens Hotel is a charming and characterful hotel in Copenhagen that has a warm, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. It feels much more personal than a large, modern chain hotel, with plenty of little touches that give it its own identity. The hotel has a cosy and stylish interior, with interesting artwork, comfortable furnishings and a slightly quirky Scandinavian feel. The communal areas are particularly pleasant, providing comfortable spaces to sit and relax after a busy day exploring Copenhagen. The bedrooms are comfortable and nicely presented, although some rooms are relatively compact. They have everything you need for a city break and provide a pleasant place to unwind at the end of the day. One of the biggest advantages is the location. The hotel is situated in a lively part of Copenhagen, with a good choice of restaurants, cafés, bars and shops close by. It is also well placed for exploring the city, whether on foot or using the excellent public transport system. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and informal. I also liked the fact that Ibsens Hotel has retained a sense of individuality rather than feeling like a generic hotel. Overall, Ibsens Hotel is a comfortable and characterful place to stay, with attractive interiors, friendly service and an excellent location. It makes a good base for discovering Copenhagen and is particularly appealing if you prefer hotels with personality and a more homely atmosphere.

My room was so quiet, charming and comfortable! I was on the top floor facing the courtyard and I never heard a neighbor. The staff is all so friendly. The restaurant is INCREDIBLE! Hygge hour is so fun and the local juice is fantastic. Truly a great value and will definitely return. The only downside was that being on the 6th floor with no air conditioning was hot in April (avg daily temp 50 F). I can't imagine how hot it will be in July. I wish they had lighter blankets. All 4 of us were way too hot for a duvet. But that is a small thing for how wonderful it was!

Very pleasant experience. Super friendly staff. Breakfast was included at our stay at the hotel nearby, there were many options. Room was very clean at arrival, it gets cleaned everyday. Some towels had little stains in them but nothing too bad. Fun extra is that you can come to the bar downstairs and get a free drink between 5 and 6 pm. There sadly wasn’t a fridge or closet for clothes. We had a very good experience.
