If a guest goes onto the Scandic Webers hotels website and books a standard room, pays for it, and receives a confirmation that the room is booked for a certain date, do you then consider that the guest in question, when arriving at your Scandic Webers hotel, does not have the right to get the room they booked and paid for? I can assure you that this is exactly what I did. I also find it strange that Standard and Standard Single seem to have the same price, at least in my case, as I paid for a Standard room. I think that you, Lise-Lott Haskel, as General Manager, should check in as a guest along with another adult at your Scandic Weber Hotel and spend a night in a Standard Single room to experience the same thing all Scandic Weber hotel guests have experienced. After that, you can give me an answer about what it's like to stay one or more nights in such a room, and you can also imagine that it was a Standard room you had booked and paid for. Imagine my surprise when we got a standard single room, which was completely wrong. Instead of a 160 cm bed, the two of us had to share a 140 cm bed and the room was so small that it felt claustrophobic. We pointed out the mistake at the reception, but according to the man we spoke to, standard and standard single are the same room. But anyone can see on their website that this is not the case. A pure shame for a hotel to trick its guests like that, and I recommend that everyone avoid booking this hotel. Don’t make the same mistake we ran into.

Small rooms with tiny bathrooms where the water gets absolutely everywhere when showering. Walls were paper-thin, and I could easily hear snoring from the room next door. The hair dryer overheated after 20 seconds of usage, and would need to cool down for two minutes before it would give you another 20 seconds of usage. Good breakfast, but the mood in the restaurant was brought down by a young male employee eating there daily while watching video clips on his phone with the volume turned up but without using headphones.

Pros: . The receptionist Morten went above and beyond to help me throughout my experience here at scandic webers, providing fans, towels, sheets and lovely conversation. He really upped this from a 1 to a 3 star review. I thank him for his amazing effort at helping me with whatever needed doing and explaining things in a really easy to understand way. . The bar and breakfast is very good. The barman (also called Morten) is really friendly and deserves recognition for his amazing attitude and fun conversations. The breakfast is also very well stocked and tasty. Cons . The room is boiling hot. Due to the old age of the hotel, the air conditioning doesn't work at all, and in other rooms only works for half the day, hence why we had fans in our room. . The double bed is tiny. If you aren't particularly close to the person you are staying with, avoid booking a room with a double bed at all costs. The bed was so small I fell off it twice and had to sleep on the floor for 5 nights with a duvet under me for padding. . The bathroom is very stinky and tiny. Upon arrival, the bathroom stank and continued to stink the rest of the stay and was always wet due to the shower spraying water everywhere. It's also absolutely tiny, with the reception toilets being bigger even without a shower. . The rooms are old fashioned and outdated. The cost of these rooms is not really fair because of the small size and outdated design and feel of it. . There is no kettle, tea bags or any other things to make beverages in the room, though the iron and ironing board is a nice touch as well as the clothes hangers. Overall: I would not stay here again. Both the receptionist and bartender (both called Morten) were absolutely outstanding in their high level of service, especially the receptionist, in helping me have the most comfortable experience despite the conditions. But apart from that, the reception is modern but absolutely nothing else is. Cramped, uncomfortable rooms with awful tiny beds and boiling hot conditions. Tiny bathrooms that smell awful. No noise insulation from the outside, so you hear everything going on outside the rooms like the lifts and peoples TVs. I would recommend not staying here for more than 2 nights.
