Copenhagen Marriott Hotel

We had a fantastic experience here! The room felt huge, and that magnificent floor-to-ceiling style window gave us the most stunning view. Access to the lounge was a wonderful perk; having breakfast and light afternoon snacks there was so convenient, and the food was consistently good. A lovely, relaxing environment all around.

We arrived around 10:00 AM, as I had notified in advance. The welcome was rude and completely indifferent. The receptionist took our ID details and said I would receive a message when our rooms were ready—something that, of course, never happened. I had booked three rooms with a water view, but mine faced the city, which I consider a downgrade in accommodation. The initial staff member had promised the rooms would be on the same floor, but they turned out to be on two different ones. There was constant crowding in front of the elevators and the reception desk, leading to long waits. Since it was the first day of my vacation, I didn't want to get into an argument or deal with any further hassle. On the plus side, the hotel has been recently renovated; the rooms are spacious, with comfortable bathrooms and very comfortable beds. The location is excellent and quiet, and all major sights are within walking distance. However, the Executive Lounge was usually overcrowded. Overall, the hotel seems geared towards serving cruise groups, so elite members would be better off looking for a different hotel. I do not recommend it.

On the positive side, the hotel lobby is very nice, the location is fantastic. The lounge was very nice. The food is good, the environment is spacious and comfortable and the staff in the lounge has been outstanding. The breakfast was also amazing, with a wide variety of delicious food choices, real coffee and a great view of the river. On the other hand, the reception team lacked warmth and welcome, the shower in the room is weak and does not drain properly, there are no modern USB charging outlets and the titanium room upgrade was the absolute minimum. The in room amenities are the bare minimum. The housekeeping was also disappointing. Most disappointing was that feedback about the broken shower was ignored. Repairs were promised but never made. Given the extravagant price of the room, it’s quite disappointing.
