Hotel National

3 of us just spent a week here, and it exceeded our expectations, much of that down to the excellent staff. That started when a taxi driver mistakenly took my bag from Zermatt train station. Within minutes they'd emailed around other hotels, located it, and reunited me with my stuff. Thank you! Special thanks to Sean on reception for this and all the help through the week. The hotel is really well located, just opposite the Sunnegga funicular and with 2 ski hire shops within 1 minute walk. We stayed in one of the 2 storey rooms on floor 4, very nice and comfortable, and a lovely view of the Matterhorn. The breakfast and dinner were included in our price and were also excellent. I will miss that crispy bacon and the fruit salads. The restaurant is cozy and homely with a nice atmosphere. Again, a special thank you to the lively-minded restaurant manager Bastien who takes the time to talk to and joke with everyone. I hope we meet again! Thanks to all of you!

The perfect Hotel if you want to go to Zermatt!!!! Everything was great. I’ll need a few pages to describe how good this place is. We felt like at home. The amenities , restaurant, breakfast, room, sauna, pool…. All 5 stars Just to mention a few people like Albano at reception, Bastian at restaurant, Stefan always so helpful, Cristina in housekeeping. Will come back again. Just across from Sunnega tram a close to everything. Highly recommendable
