⭐️⭐️ Very disappointing housekeeping and basic service We stayed at the Wyndham Santiago Pettra for a week, and unfortunately the housekeeping service was far below what I would expect from a hotel of this standard. Our room was cleaned only twice during our entire week-long stay. The room was not serviced regularly, and basic supplies were not consistently replenished. The hotel also provided bottled water, but the bottles were not refilled during our stay. When I asked for water, the first time I was given bottles without being charged. The second time I requested water, I was told that I would have to pay for it. This was especially frustrating given that the hotel had been providing water and was not replenishing the bottles in the room. For a hotel at this price point, I expect regular housekeeping and consistent access to basic amenities such as drinking water. The lack of attention to these basic services significantly detracted from our stay. The property itself is nice, but the housekeeping and guest service need substantial improvement.

I was a victim of theft — money was stolen from inside my room during my stay, within a window of approximately 1.5 hours while I was having breakfast, a period when only housekeeping staff had access. I ended up losing half a day of my trip dealing with the police to file a formal report. To date, the hotel has not issued any formal statement regarding responsibility. For a hotel that markets itself as 5-star, the lack of security protocols and accountability is unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel. Following up on my previous review: the situation turned out to be even worse than I initially reported. While packing my bags to check out, I discovered that beyond the stolen cash, another personal item had also disappeared from my room — my Kérastase hair treatment cream. Two items gone during a window when only housekeeping had access to the room. It makes me wonder how many other things may have been taken that I didn't even notice. Having your belongings gone through inside your own room, in a hotel that brands itself as 5-star, is deeply unsettling and completely unacceptable. I would think twice before trusting this property with your valuables.
