We had a wonderful stay at this resort and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The resort is beautiful, very well-maintained, and in a fantastic location, making it easy to explore the surrounding area while also enjoying a relaxing getaway. It was our first family holiday with two kids (aged 6 and 4) and we booked a two bedroom apartment. It was perfectly equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming. We made so many great memories here and will always look back on this trip with a smile. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with excellent service and a perfect location. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed our time at the hotel. The property was clean, comfortable, and provided good value for the price. There are a few things future guests should be aware of. The bathrooms are quite dated and could benefit from some renovations. Housekeeping is not provided daily and, if I understood correctly, room cleaning is only included for stays of four nights or longer. Additionally, I was surprised to learn there was an extra charge when I requested a fresh towel. It's also important to note that having a car is highly recommended. If you want to eat somewhere other than the hotel restaurant, there are very few dining options within walking distance. Likewise, if you're planning to spend time at different beaches around the island, having a car will make your stay much more convenient. Despite these points, we still had a good experience overall and enjoyed our stay.

We are just back from a week at this hotel - we are a family of two adults and one toddler. We had a great time! The apartment was spacious with a fully equipped kitchen (especially handy having a washing machine). The balcony was very large with a clothes horse and a high safety wall, which was reassuring for us with a toddler. TRAVEL AND TIMING We travelled just out of season, right after the schools had gone back, so the hotel was at a nice, relaxed level of busyness. DINING AND BREAKFAST We paid for B&B and the breakfast each morning was well worth it. We tended to have several courses every day, including: * Fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, continental options, yoghurt, smoothies, and juices * Coffee (the only disappointment was the machine coffee, which was quite weak) * Optional made-to-order hot breakfast choices * Churros to finish, and on some days, delicious baklava! The on-site restaurants were good, and overall service was very attentive. If you wander through the larger campus, there are a couple of other dining options available - we tried Zac's at the Ramada, though it was a bit disappointing. We also walked off-site to Colinas, which was a lovely, popular local taverna. POOL AND AMENITIES The swimming pool was lovely, featuring a kiddie pool, a nice pool bar, and plenty of sun loungers available during our stay. ADDRESSING POINTS FROM OTHER REVIEWERS 1. Stairs and Hillside Location: Yes, there are stairs to climb - we were up two storeys, which was no big deal and well worth it for the sea view! The site is on an undulating hillside which adds steep paths and steps. If you have mobility issues, you may wish to consider staying elsewhere. 2. Ants in the Apartment: A normal reality in hot climates. Keep doors and windows closed and keep all food sealed to avoid attracting them. 3. Bathroom Odours: Common in warm climates due to trap evaporation. Simply run the taps for a moment to refill the water traps and the smell disappears. 4. Dark Interiors: Local interior design varies by country. It wasn't like our home, but we didn't expect it to be - that is half the fun of travelling! 5. Restaurant Prices and Location: On-site dining reflects convenience pricing. The hotel is somewhat isolated, but that tranquillity is part of the appeal. Fuengirola is a 10-15 minute drive away (an Uber runs about 20-25 euros), so having a hire car is definitely recommended. 6. The Beach: Accessed via an underpass, the beach is a short walk or hotel road train ride away. It runs alongside the motorway so you can hear traffic, and it is not the deepest stretch of sand, but it was perfectly fine for a 3-year-old with a bucket and spade. There is also a small beach bar and lifeguards on duty. Bigger beaches are just a short drive away. SUMMARY If you go with realistic expectations for a hillside resort outside of town, you will have a fantastic holiday!
