Swissôtel Kursaal Bern

After a few accommodations in Geneve, Zurich and Basel I can tell that this one is the most AMAZING HOTEL in Swiss. Starting with the front desk miss who was so funny and gave us a lot of information about the city and the things we should try and see, which were very valuable to us. Further, the ARCHITECTURE is AWESOME : the high cycling, the layout , the stairs, the glass elevators…. Great job ! Everything looks amazing ! The room is a comfortable size , sparkling clean and a “very clean smell” ,if you know the feeling…. The coffee spot is the most organized and well stocked I have seen. The coffee was PERFECT ! The breakfast is very very diversified . The atmosphere is romantic with sun flowers and bonsai trees. Thank you for your courtesy. Congratulations for your staff also !! We are excited to come back soon !

Had the pleasure of staying here during my recent trip to Switzerland. I really enjoyed staying at this property (and the only Swissotel in Switzerland). My loyalty was recognised here (Accor Plat) with a 2 class room upgrade, free minibar, welcome drink (anything on the menu up to 16 CHF in the bar) and welcome amenity (i loved the paprika chips). Location was great and within walking distance everywhere. Directly outside the tram station stop too. I also really liked the rooms, which were well maintained and clean. The balcony was also offered a really nice view over Bern. Staff were really friendly and contactable via WhatsApp. (I just wish the WiFi portal would be the normal Accor account sign-in page instead of the ID and password system here.)

The hotel is fairly good overall, but the level of service did not meet expectations. I requested room cleaning several times during my stay, yet on multiple occasions the request was simply ignored despite following up. What was even more disappointing was the behavior of some staff members. We witnessed employees raising their voices at mothers and children, which is completely unacceptable and not the kind of treatment you expect from a family-friendly hotel. I believe the hotel needs to improve its service standards and provide better customer service training for its staff. Respectful treatment of guests is just as important as the hotel’s facilities.
