Swissôtel Amsterdam

It was a lovely stay until check out kinda put me off. Checked in was very pleasant. The dark haired male staff handling my check in was friendly, recognized my status as a Platinum member was kind to gave us a great upgrade to a suite. He was professional and supportive, also helped me get another key when I left both of them in the room. Room (cuz of the upgrade) was spacious and comfortable. Looking right towards the department store and Dam square. Location was right at the centre of everything, so it was very convenient to walk to places for the 3 short days we were there. Check out ended it on a low note sadly. Nothing major happened but I was struggling to wheel all my luggages alone, along with my child, clearly trying to check out and was alr in rush to go to the airport. The female staff at the desk was checking in another guest so I understand she was occupied, acted like I wasn't standing in front of her, waiting to be checked out at all (barely acknowledge my presence). I waited until her conversation with the other guest pause as they were reading/signing something to ask if she could help quickly check if my room's all good for check out. She first said she's helping the other guest, I responsed that I was in a rush and it would take her very little time (literally took her like 5s) so she finally did help with the check out. There was some attitude that I did not appreciate. Even if she was busy with the other guest, she could at least notice my presence, ask me to wait instead of having me ASKING to be acknowledged or call another colleague to support me (with the luggage, with the check out etc.). The stay itself was great but the differing level of services from the staff should be looked at.

We stayed here at the beginning of our honeymoon and had such a lovely experience. The team were incredibly warm, welcoming, and made us feel genuinely celebrated, congratulating us multiple times throughout our stay. The Accor hospitality was excellent and really stood out. We were also touched by the thoughtful welcome note and surprise gift of wine/cocktail gummies, which made our stay feel extra special. Overall, the staff were friendly, helpful, and made the start of our honeymoon truly memorable. Highly recommend.

The room was great. Clean, spacious with amenities that would make a staying comfortable. The service was professional and perfect. The location right in the middle of top tourist attraction. It was either busy or busier. During my stay there was food festival holding in the Dam square. The sound was deafening. Program started from midday to 11 pm. For my next stay in Amsterdam, I would consider not book any accommodation in the Dam square nearby.
