Summit Ridge Tagaytay

I booked two Superior King rooms (501 and 502) for our overnight stay at Summit Ridge Tagaytay. While check-in was fast, we encountered several issues in both rooms that affected our experience. 1. Upon arrival, we had difficulty entering the rooms. The key cards worked, but the door locks were faulty—you had to push the doors hard to open them. We had to call staff for assistance, and while they showed us how to manage it, it was not a good first impression. 2. In Room 501, the sink drained very slowly. 3. In Room 502, the sink was clogged, which was quite unpleasant. It was surprising that housekeeping missed this. We reported it to reception, and staff were sent to fix the issue. 4. The room information indicated that we could request items like slippers and bottled water. We called reception for both rooms, but the items were initially delivered only to Room 502. We had to follow up twice before Room 501 received the same. The process seemed disorganized. 5. Upon check-in, one of the rooms also did not have hand wash available, so we had to request a refill. 6. Check-out was slow, as we were asked to wait while the rooms were inspected. This felt outdated and inefficient. To be fair, the rooms were spacious and the beds were large and comfortable. However, the facilities appear outdated and in need of renovation, with visible wear and tear in some areas (particularly the doors, as shown in the photos). Overall, while the stay had some positives, the maintenance issues and service inefficiencies need improvement.

I was really hoping for a relaxing and peaceful staycation, but unfortunately, the noise level made it difficult to enjoy our stay. The room was not soundproof at all — we could clearly hear conversations and noises from the neighboring room, as well as the vehicles passing outside. Instead of being able to relax, we ended up wondering when the noise from other guests would stop. I reported the issue to the reception, but I was told that this is normal and that the noise from other rooms can really be heard. They said they would check if it was too noisy and ask the guests to stop, but I feel like this is only a temporary solution. Proper sound insulation should be considered, especially for guests who are booking for a quiet and relaxing getaway. I also booked one of their newly renovated rooms, but I was disappointed because the room still looked old and did not feel newly renovated. There were no slippers provided, and the room did not smell fresh upon arrival. Aside from the noise, there were also cleanliness and maintenance issues. The sink was clogged, the water had an unpleasant smell, and whenever we stayed outside the room, there was a bad odor around the area. The floor inside the room also felt sticky, which made the overall experience uncomfortable. The internet connection was also a major issue. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow and almost unusable, which was frustrating especially when guests need a reliable connection. The service during breakfast was also disappointing. I politely asked the staff several times to please clean our table, but they kept prioritizing other tables first. We finished our meal and left without our table being cleaned. The staff seemed unapproachable and appeared to be unhappy or annoyed whenever they were asked for assistance, which made the experience less welcoming. Overall, I was disappointed with the stay. The location is convenient, but a good stay requires more than just a nice location — guests also need comfort, cleanliness, proper maintenance, reliable facilities, and staff who provide warm and attentive service.

First time to check in this hotel, I have nothing to say but very good location and ambiance, the view from the room is awesome, the front desk was accommodating and allowed us to have an early check-in. Upon entering the room I was amazed by the neat sheets and good view and ambiance but had a hard time figuring out how to use the tv, there is no Netflix installed but a standard cable service. The aircon was not cool enough probably need service. The wifi was strong. The room has a safe, refrigerator, complimentary coffee and water. A hair dryer and complete bath room needs are in place. Ample parking is provided but the bad side is we encountered problem during our stay the water heater isn't working for the whole floor as per technician and then our aircon power tripped but was quickly fixed. A rough experience but can be tolerated. After a day the manager upgraded us to a family room and I will rate it as a superb room and service recovery good job. Will definitely come back.
