Scandic Wroclaw

Unfortunately it looks like a convincing hotel from reviews but my experience was not the best. The rooms are very very old and are super dirty from inside with alot of dust on the carpets and the side drawer corners. I had alot of issues breathing at night in the room due to dust that was all the time coming on blankets and the smell of rotten and very old carpeting was on top another disadvantage. The pillows on top were probably the worst i have ever slept on. When asked for a memory foam pillow, they didnt have them, which makes things worse for someone staying 4 nights and having 4 nights of bad sleep. They have nice breakfast no doubt but breakfast only doesnt make the hotel better. They dont do room service untill you ask them to. Shower pressure was pretty low as well. No doubt reception people are very nice and well mannered so nothing against them. Just the hotel experience. Plus I wanted to stay in breakfast area to work a bit after breakfast but the guy came and asked me to sit in lobby which was all the time full of movement, i couldnt sit there in peace since there were no charging spots. A hotel that caters for business travel people this is probably the worst.

Great hotel in an excellent location I had a very enjoyable stay at Scandic Wrocław and found it a great base for exploring the city. Excellent value for an average £50 per night for a standard plus room. The location is excellent, particularly if arriving by train, as Wrocław Główny station is just a short walk away. The Old Town and Rynek are also easily reached on foot in around 10–15 minutes, while trams and buses are readily available nearby for travelling further afield. My room was clean, modern and well equipped. It had a comfortable bed, although I felt the pillows could have been a little more comfortable. There was plenty of space to relax, with a table and two comfortable chairs, as well as a separate desk which would be particularly useful for anyone needing to work during their stay. The room also included an iron and ironing board, kettle, flat-screen TV and fridge, which was particularly useful. The furniture and overall décor felt modern and well maintained. The bathroom was equally modern, with both a shower and bathtub, a hairdryer and warm-air heating/vents. The hotel has a small 24-hour gym. It’s probably best suited to around three people using it comfortably at the same time, but having it available 24 hours a day means it’s easy to find a quieter time to exercise. There’s also a family-sized sauna, which is available at various times throughout the day. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Standard check-in is at 16:00 and check-out is by 12:00. Early check-in or a later check-out can be arranged, subject to availability, for around 80 PLN (approximately £15). I liked having this option, although some travellers may find 16:00 slightly later than the check-in time offered by many hotels. Overall, Scandic Wrocław offers comfortable, modern accommodation in a very convenient location. The combination of the railway station nearby, easy walking access to the Old Town, good room facilities and helpful staff made it an excellent base for a Wrocław city break. Minor negatives: the pillows could be more comfortable and the standard 16:00 check-in is a little late. Overall: 9/10 — I would happily stay here again.
