Scandic Torget Bergen

The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast - the quality and range of food here was sensational. Top marks for the extensive gluten free section, and as soon as anything ran low, staff immediately replenished the station. The location can’t be beat - the waterfront, fish market and cruise departure point is right out front, the airport bus is a short walk and it’s about 15 minutes from the train. Reception is chaotic and the 2 lifts are tiny, but rooms are clean and recently refurbished. For the price and location this was a good option for Bergen.

A great central location for central Bergen, in the heart of the city. For the 3 trips/events booked before we arrived the furthest we had to walk was 8 mins. Extremely close to Fjord cruise boats and bus stop for a day trip (pick up by coach on same street). To the Ice bar an easy walk. Funicular, restaurants, shopping and train station all close to this hotel. We arrived by the light rail from the airport and again using Google, 5 mins walk from the final stop. The room we stayed in for us was fine, some might say basic but everything you needed was provided. It was clean and comfortable. No issues. Breakfast was buffet style on Level 2 of hotel and for us a great choice of food items. Plenty of room, never had to wait for a table. Really lovely and set you up for the day. Never used the bar on the ground floor as lots of restaurants and bars near by. Would I stay here again I certainly would an easy decision.

📍Great location - close to central Bergen harbour, fish market (Fish Me restaurant), Bergen train station (12 mins walking) and walking distance to Fløibanen (cable car to the top of Bergen) ☕️Exelllent Breakfast - this is a 10/10 experience. Super fresh and hearty breakfast selection. Lots of Nordic tastes and special dietary options (vegan, vegetarian, GF) 🧑‍💼Friendly Staff - it was a very friendly and comfortable experience. The welcoming and friendly staff definitely contributed to the experience the most! 🔍On the weekend, the breakfast starts at 7:30am which we found it’s a bit late. We needed to catch an early morning fjord tour, so had to cut the breakfast time short. If they can have an earlier start to the breakfast, it would be amazing! 🔍The gym is location at the sister hotel Scandic Neptune (it’s a nice 5-min walk along the Bergen Harbour). You’ll need to ask for a gym voucher at the reception desk. The sister hotel was super friendly too:)
