Scandic Odense

Our family stayed one night at the hotel and received excellent service from start to finish. The room was clean, and the breakfast buffet was excellent, with a great variety of options, including fresh berries. The breakfast staff always had a smile on their faces and made us feel that they genuinely enjoyed their work. A wonderful stay with some of the better service we have experienced.

We spent two nights in a family room in the heat of summer. The room was very warm upon arrival as there is no aircondition, but ceiling fans and an open window helped somewhat. As usual with Scandic hotels the family room contains a bunk bed and a double bed. The room is small, but you have space for your luggage and family with not much room to spare. The ceiling fan was right next to the ladder for the bunk bed and the kid that slept on top needed to be creative to get upstairs without hitting their head. The bunk bed lacked any form of reading light, and had a ledge you can hit your head on if you’re not careful. I really have to give credit to all the friendly staff on the hotel! Everyone from the cleaning ladies to the breakfast servers were really friendly and smiling. It made us feel welcome even though the crew were busy serving another large group of tourists. Location depends on where you are going. It’s not the best location for visiting Odense and the hotel itself is located in a industrial area with nothing exciting going on, but it’s perfect if you just need a night by the highway.
