Radisson Hotel Tamboho Waterfront Antananarivo

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is relatively small and feels more like a boutique lodge than the bigger Radisson that is just down the street. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and work hard to make sure you are comfortable. The rooms are a spacious and quiet. I enjoyed opening my sliding glass door and looking out over the pool. I was there for work and appreciated the desk and comfortable chair. There is a mini fridge and the hotel provides bottles of filtered water. There is no microwave, but the restaurant staff were kind enough to reheat the leftover pizza I had purchased the day before. The breakfast is an extensive buffet which features amazing pastries including pain au chocolat. It's also pleasant to have dinner on the outside patio to watch the sunset over the little lake. There are decent vegetarian options and the prices are very reasonable. The hotel is in a convenient location, across from a small mall that has a grocery store, movie theater, pharmacy, and food court. It's in a gated zone so you can safely walk around, including to a few shops that sell tourist goods, vanilla, clothes, beauty products, and rum. Everything is at your fingertips. You do feel somewhat removed from real life, so be sure to get out on the town for a more traditional experience.

Excellent standard, as I have come to know Radisson, this one did not disappoint either. I appreciate the excellent bedding with duvet and pillows. No lake though, probably because of the dry season, but I got to see the local kids play football. The restaurant is good and service likewise. The location seems to be in safe neighborhood.
