Oceana Santa Monica, LXR Hotels & Resorts

We had such a special stay at Oceana, and Natalia truly made the entire weekend feel even more memorable. We were there celebrating our anniversary with two friends, and from the moment she greeted us by the pool, she was so warm, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. She insisted on sending us complimentary champagne, surprised us with something special in the room, and went out of her way to make sure our service animal was comfortable and cared for too. She also introduced us to other members of the management team and staff so everyone knew we were celebrating and could help make the weekend extra special. What we loved most was how personal everything felt. Oceana already has such a beautiful, effortless bohemian luxury vibe, but Natalia really brought that feeling to life through the service. Nothing felt overly formal or forced. It was thoughtful, relaxed, elevated, and incredibly genuine. She made us feel less like hotel guests and more like we were being welcomed into someone’s beautiful Santa Monica home for the weekend. We left feeling very taken care of and already wanting to come back. Natalia is truly such an asset to Oceana.

Oceana Santa Monica LXR is a very nice hotel overall. Most of the staff we interacted with were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The room was excellent. We originally booked a base room but were upgraded to a one-bedroom suite. The space felt thoughtfully curated and stylish — you can tell real effort was put into the design, which makes it stand out from many standard American hotels. If paying cash, the hotel feels a bit overpriced, but I would say a fair value would be around $500–$600 per night. We redeemed a free night stay, which made the experience feel well worth it. The restaurant is the one area that fell short. The food was average, the service was just okay, and dishes took quite a while to arrive. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It had a boutique vibe that I really enjoyed. I got to see the same staff members over and over, and every single staff member was incredibly friendly, nice, and informative. It felt like a little community, with each member making sure that you stay is so good. The food there was phenomenal. I had a wonderful breakfast, and the lunch was great there too. The front desk was excellent. Wonderful location, free bikes to rent. We went and enjoyed both the restaurants nearby as well as the beaches. We really wish we could have stayed longer, and we will be back, that's for sure. It was really memorable, and we appreciate everyone there.
