NH Catania Parco degli Aragonesi

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, most recently in June 2026. Its location close to Catania Airport is excellent, making it an ideal choice for an overnight stay before an early flight or after a late arrival. One of the hotel’s biggest advantages is the private beach, where you can relax by the sea. The swimming pool is also a great place to cool off and unwind. The biggest disappointment was the pool bar service. It was very difficult to find a member of staff if you wanted to order a drink, and you almost had to chase someone down. In addition, the prices at the pool bar are quite high. The rooms are comfortable and offer a good standard, although they are beginning to show signs of wear and could benefit from some refurbishment. The breakfast is excellent and one of the hotel’s highlights. It offers a wide variety of choices, including many delicious Sicilian specialties. Overall, this is a good hotel that I would happily stay at again because of its convenient location, beach access, and outstanding breakfast. Although it is relatively expensive, it remains a very good option for travelers flying in or out of Catania.

Good location 15mins from airport, hotel beach across the road opens in June at start of season. But you can access public area. Only 10mins from Catania Town. 1 hour from mount etna and 1h from syracuse.. I found the general service exceptional especially Valentina on reception. Breakfast is nice with small changes daily. Only had the lunch in the restaurant but was ok. Pool open 10am-5pm. Not heated. There are conferences daily at the hotel. Rooms are comfortable, bathrooms bit dated and getting a upgrade in 12 months. Climate control is set at 21-25 degrees which is commonly found across Europe now. The room temperature was ok but could be different in the hotter summer months. Parking cost €8 a day.
