Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa Malta

We had a very good stay at the Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa. The service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff, and the hotel was very clean throughout. The food was also good, with plenty of choice, and the rooftop pool was a real plus, especially in the evening — a lovely place to relax and enjoy the views. The outdoor pool was also nice, although it can get a little lively with children running around. The rooftop pool was definitely our favourite for a more relaxing atmosphere. We really liked the Mellieħa location. It's quieter and feels less touristy than some other parts of Malta, while still being a great base for exploring the island. It is a little further from Valletta, but this wasn't a problem at all as Malta's public transport is excellent, with regular and convenient bus connections. We didn't have a car during our stay and managed to get around very easily. Our only disappointment was the unclear information about the pool opening time. The hotel information sheet said the pool opened at 10am, but this actually referred to the pool bar, not the pool itself. We could have enjoyed the pool earlier in the morning before heading out, so clearer information would have been appreciated. Overall, a very good hotel with excellent service, friendly staff and a great location. We would happily stay again.

We had a really great family stay here and felt it was well worth the money, even though our trip got off to a bit of a rocky start. We arrived around 22:30, and the staff member handling our check-in felt completely rushed and gave off some sarcastic attitude when we asked simple questions about parking. It wasn't the warmest first impression, but thankfully, the rest of our experience couldn't have been more different. Every other person on staff—especially the friendly team at breakfast—was genuinely accommodating and polite. What completely won us over was how they treated our son for his birthday. They gave him a lovely surprise right at check-in, and then surprised him again with a birthday cake on his actual special day. He was absolutely thrilled, and a massive kudos goes to the staff for going out of their way to make his day so memorable. The room itself was great for a good night's sleep, with a lovely view looking out toward the church. Our family really enjoyed the pool areas; having easy pool access for the kids plus the rooftop pool option was ideal. It was also super convenient having the kids' play area right by the Al Ponte restaurant access, which made dining with family that much easier. Speaking of the rooftop, having a drink from the bar while watching fireworks overhead was definitely an evening highlight. Breakfast was decent each morning with plenty to kick off the day, and the hotel's location made getting anywhere around town very convenient. One practical heads-up: street parking around the hotel is only free between 18:30 and 8:59 in the morning, and they are very strict about ticketing during daytime hours, so plan your car movements accordingly. All in all, despite the initial check-in hiccup, the fantastic views, thoughtful service, and overall value make this an easy place to recommend. We would definitely return.

This was our first stay at this hotel, but it certainly won't be our last. From the moment we arrived, we received excellent service throughout our stay. The ambience was wonderful, the staff were welcoming and attentive, and the breakfast offered a fantastic selection of delicious food. The hotel was spotlessly clean – a definite 10/10. A special mention goes to the two Maltese gentlemen at the front desk who worked different shifts. They both made us feel genuinely welcome and were a credit to the hotel. Thank you for making our stay such a memorable one. We look forward to returning.
