InterContinental Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport

The staff have been just amazing - including over email before we arrived. Beauty and Judith on the Concierge Team (and also Stephan who I didn’t get to meet) have just been fabulous - so friendly, helpful and accommodating. We are doing a long tour of southern africa and are book ending our trip with a day front and back at IC Jo’burg and 4 days in Cape Town. We had a wonderful stay, well looked after, comfortable room, great bathroom and want to personally thank Judith in particular for her care and attention. Also the lovely lady who did turn down service for us in the evening - so much care and attention - her name was something like Nocicelo? My fault entirely for not writing it down at the time. We feel that the bags and valuables we left in the care of the hotel are 100% safe and coming in for a final night before the flight home to Sydney will be like coming home.

Our stay at the InterContinental was amazing. The staff welcomed us at the airport, helped us with our luggage all the way to the hotel. Check-in was fast and friendly. Restaurant on site was good. Couldn’t ask for better staff. Took care of any of our needs. Great spa as well. Also tours arranged through the hotel using James were awesome. Definitely recommend using him and request James.

I have stayed here many times and, while overpriced, this hotel is very convenient. You don't hear any airport noise, Quills is great for dinner and breakfast, the rooms are clean, and the service is above and beyond for an airport hotel. A special thank you to Tumelo who assisted us with our baggage upon check in. He made a note to come back at the time we wanted to depart in the evening and showed up to our room early! He even helped us across the street to the airport as my mom is elderly. THANK YOU TUMELO!
