Dear Cornelisz Hotel Management, I am writing to submit a formal complaint regarding my recent stay at your hotel, which turned into one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. During our stay, my wife’s gold ring disappeared after the housekeeping staff had entered and cleaned our room. We immediately informed the hotel and reported the incident because the ring was present before the room was cleaned and was missing immediately afterwards. We have every reason to believe that it was taken during the housekeeping service. What is even more disappointing is the way your management handled this serious matter. Instead of taking immediate action, conducting a proper investigation, or showing any concern for our situation, the hotel manager failed to provide any meaningful assistance. We felt completely ignored and abandoned at a time when we expected professionalism and support. This incident has caused us not only a significant financial loss but also emotional distress, as the ring was a valuable personal possession. As paying guests, we trusted your hotel to provide a safe environment and to act responsibly when a serious incident was reported. Unfortunately, your hotel failed in both respects. I expect your management to conduct a full investigation into this matter and provide me with a detailed written response explaining what actions have been taken. If this complaint continues to be ignored or handled without the seriousness it deserves, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter by reporting it to the appropriate consumer protection authorities and by sharing my experience publicly through major travel review platforms to ensure that other travellers are aware of what happened. I sincerely hope you will take this complaint seriously and respond promptly with a professional solution.

As of April 15 2026 I can say today they were having new beds delivered to the hotel. We had zero issues with the beds here. They were extremely comfortable and not a bed bug in site. I spoke to other people staying here on other floors and they had no bedbug complaints either. if they had them then the issue has been resolved. The location is amazing right near the museums and the shops and restaurants of Amsterdam. There are trams that run right by the building till late at night and some street noise so if your a light sleeper beware. the rooms are clean and very nice. Having a fridge to use was great. The outside of the building is under construction but we never really saw anyone on the scaffolding in front of our room during our stay. My only complaint is some of the front desk people were not very friendly. Not big deal but it does make your stay better when the staff is friendly and approachable. Some were very nice though.Overall it was a very good hotel and i would consider staying here again. the area is very safe. It’s right in the middle of the most expensive shopping stores in town.
