Del Rey Quality Hotel

Excellent, cheap ish option to stay for a couple of nights whilst heading off to the waterfalls. My husband and I always aim to not spend loads of money on the hotels as we will only use it for sleep and showers. This is a great option! The bed wa a okay, the shower was great and the room was spacey. Only downside was that our room didn’t have a window and we could hear the elevator motor early in the morning. Hotel del Rey has decent, clean rooms, a delicious breakfast and amazing staff that can speak many languages so communication is no issue. It does have a swimming pool but we went during winter so didn’t really give it a go. The housekeeping staff is very friendly and they always left a towel in a funny shape on our bed after cleaning it up. It has a great location easy pickups for Ubers. You can walk around there to go get meals at night and just around the corner, there’s an excellent Shwarma place. Would stay here again if we were to come back to Foz. Great value!

Stayed here for 3 nights in early July 2026. The room was basic but it came with a good breakfast which went from 6-10am, and a hot shower. Swimming pool from 10.00am until 9.00pm (5th floor). Laundry 22BRL per kilo and they take Visa Credit Card. The water from the hose/spray bidet was leaking in my bathroom so there was always a puddle on the ground. The window in my bathroom wouldn't close properly so mosquitoes were able to get into my room. After the first day of room cleaning I did not receive a replacement of toilet paper or towels but thankfully I still had extra that was left over from the room. I had the room to myself but if I had shared it, it would have been an issue. The bathroom only had shampoo, bar soap, and liquid hand soap. Bring your own hair conditioner if you care about that stuff. I do appreciate the mini fridge but be aware that all the items in there are not free and will need to be paid for if you take any of it. Overall, this hotel wasn't bad but the walls are paper thin, I was woken up by neighbors in the middle of the night, and hall way conversations are extra loud so bring ear plugs. The banging from the neighbors in the middle of the night, woke me up through my very loud sound machine. I reduced this hotel by another star because the wifi was awful. Was super slow, could not use it at all, and it wasn't much better in the lobby. I had to use my mobile data plan the entire time I stayed at this hotel.
