Amaris Residence

As a frequent visitor to Mykonos for the last 20 plus years and having been fortunate to have stayed at many of the best 5 star hotels on the island, I can comfortably say that my favorite property of all is “Amaris”. “Amaris” is really much more like private villas than a hotel and for travelers who want incredible comfort, privacy, seclusion, a spectacular view, easy access to the main town that is directly across the bay and only 7 minutes by car and authentic Greek hospitality, “Amaris” is without question, the place to stay. In fact, we have been guests every year since it has opened and prior to that, we stayed just above “Amaris” at their sister property, “Mykonitsa”, which is also fantastic. The downstairs flats have 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, each with a private pool and huge patios with very comfortable furniture and lounge chairs (1B is our favorite flat), while the upstairs units I believe, are all 1 bedroom apartments that have access to a large shared pool that is brand new and super comfortable and yes, also with a fantastic view of the sea and town, especially at night when Mykonos lights up and shows all of her beauty. The owners have been developing on the island for decades and are absolutely attentive to their guests’ every needs and someone is available around the clock. What I love best though, aside from how wonderful the owners/managers are, is that when we are here, we feel as if we live here and are not just transients staying in a crowded hotel for a few days before we move on to somewhere else that would feel transient. “Amaris” is really like our home and to us, the owners have truly become part of our family! I have often told the owners how lucky they are that they can live on this magnificent island and every year, we have some of that same luck that allows us to also live in paradise!

Our stay at Amaris Mykonian Residence was just perfect! The villa looks exactly like in the pictures and is very nicely located just a few mins from Ornos beach and 10 mins to Mykonos town with the car. The view is amazing! A huge shoutout to the staff and especially to Stellina who was exceptionally helpful and very kind. She replied to all our questions and requests within 15 mins and organized things for us when we asked for it. Thanks a lot you made our stay one of the best!
