Alpes Hôtel du Pralong

My stay at this hotel during winter was extremely disappointing. I left with serious concerns regarding professionalism, guest privacy, and the way certain matters were handled during my stay. The experience negatively affected me and caused unnecessary stress and discomfort. For a hotel operating at this level, I expected far better treatment, discretion, and respect toward guests. I hope management seriously reviews their internal standards and improves the way guests are treated in the future.

I do not recommend staying at this hotel. It was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. The front desk staff and the drivers were polite and kind, and they deserve credit for that. However, beyond that, the overall experience was extremely poor. The hotel charges some of the highest prices in Courchevel, including for the ski pass, yet the level of service and facilities does not justify the cost. The jacuzzi is low standard, the rooms, bathrooms and overall condition feel outdated and below expectations, and room service is very slow — waiting 30 minutes just to receive towels is unacceptable. To make matters worse, during my stay I broke my arm and had to fly back home earlier than planned. Despite the clear medical situation, the hotel refused to cancel the charge for the last night. In my view, this was a complete lack of humanity and basic understanding. The general feeling is that this hotel prioritizes money over guest experience. For the price they charge, it is simply not worth it. I would not return and would not recommend it.

This hotel claims to be 5-star, but it is absolutely nowhere near that level. It completely ruined our vacation. I honestly cannot understand how this place can present itself as a luxury property. The food is terrible — truly unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that advertises itself as five-star. What made it even worse is that there is no proper food service at night. When I asked what I could eat late in the evening, I was told I could have the snacks from the room. The “snacks” turned out to be a small pack of nuts. That’s it. No room service, no night menu, nothing. For a supposed 5-star hotel, this is simply ridiculous. The spa is disgusting and feels like it hasn’t been renovated in 100 years. Everything looks old, worn out, and poorly maintained. There is nothing luxurious, relaxing, or premium about it. I have stayed several times in Courchevel in truly excellent hotels, and I know what real five-star service looks like. This hotel is by far the worst property I have ever experienced at this price level. Charging luxury prices while delivering such a poor experience is unacceptable. Absolutely not worth the money. This place should not be marketed as a five-star hotel. Avoid if you expect real quality and service.
