Italy Tour

We meet at the international departures terminal of İzmir Airport three hours before the flight. After completing baggage, ticketing and boarding procedures, we fly to Bergamo on a Corendon Airlines charter flight. On arrival, we board our private bus waiting at the airport and set off for Lake Garda. We take a short break at Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake. We then depart for Venice at the time specified by our guide. Upon arrival in Venice, we transfer to our hotel. You have free time to rest.

After breakfast, we depart for Venice. Upon reaching Tronchetto Port, we take a short ferry ride to San Marco Square and begin our panoramic city tour. San Marco Basilica, at the end of the square, is known for its gold mosaics and Byzantine architecture. The Bridge of Sighs (Ponte dei Sospiri) is where prisoners took a final look at the city on their way to their cells. Other sights on the tour include Rialto Bridge, the Doge’s Palace, the Bell Tower and Clock Tower, and Giorgio Maggiore Church. After the Venice tour, we depart for Bologna. Upon arrival, we begin our panoramic city tour. Sights include the Fountain of Neptune, Piazza Maggiore (Great Square), the Old Stock Exchange Building, Europe’s first university building, Quadrilatero (old market), and the Garisenda and Asinelli Towers. After the Bologna tour, we depart for Florence. Upon reaching Florence, we transfer to our hotel. We then have free time to rest.

After breakfast in Florence, we begin our Portofino-Pisa tour. Our first stop is Portofino, one of the coastal towns on the Italian Riviera. Visited by artists, film stars and travellers from around the world, the town is known for its pastel-coloured houses, harbour with moored boats and views of the Gulf of Genoa. You can walk through the narrow streets, stop for an espresso at the waterfront cafés and take photographs of the town, which has retained its appearance for centuries. After Portofino, we head to Pisa. Here, we will have the opportunity to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa up close and take souvenir photographs. The tower has drawn travellers for centuries and is considered one of the seven wonders of the world. We will see Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), a UNESCO World Heritage Site right next to the tower, along with its cathedral and baptistery. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel, followed by free time to rest.

After breakfast, we begin our panoramic city tour of Florence. Florence, where the Renaissance began and developed, holds an important place in the world's cultural heritage. The city saw significant developments in art, science and philosophy. With the support of the Medici family, artists and scientists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli and Brunelleschi worked here. Sights on the tour include the Arno River, which divides the city in two, Ponte Vecchio Bridge, known for its jewellers, Palazzo Vecchio and Piazza Della Signoria Square, home to the Renaissance masterpieces, the statues of Hercules and David. Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore Duomo), with the 3rd highest dome in Italy, and the Baptistery, known for its door, are also among the sights on the tour. After the panoramic city tour of Florence, we depart for Rome. On arrival in Rome, you will be transferred to your hotel and have free time to rest.

After breakfast, we depart for Rome. On our tour of Rome, a city that has been home to emperors, gladiators and works of art throughout its history, we will see the exterior of Castel Sant’Angelo, where Cem Sultan was imprisoned. Built as a mausoleum by the Roman Emperor Hadrian, Castel Sant’Angelo was later converted into a fortress and used as a prison and papal stronghold during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Next, we will see the exterior of the Colosseum, where gladiators and wild animals fought before public audiences. We will then visit the Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi), known for its sculptures and made famous by the film La Dolce Vita. Other sights we will see include the Roman Forum, the social, commercial and religious centre of its time, the Temple of Hadrian, the Pantheon and the Spanish Steps, which consist of 135 steps and have a fountain depicting a sunken boat at their base. We then head to St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican. On arrival, you will have free time to explore the square. An obelisk stands in the centre, with columns surrounding the square. During your visit, you can see the Apostolic Palace and the window where the Pope prays on Sundays.

After breakfast in Rome, we begin our Lakes Region & Outlet, Castel Gandolfo/Nemi tour. Castel Gandolfo developed around a castle and is known for its stone streets and natural surroundings. Lake Nemi lies near the town. The Papal Palace in the centre served as a retreat for popes for centuries. The palace gardens have walking paths lined with flowers. Nemi is known for its strawberry fields and its annual Strawberry Festival. After visiting Nemi, we have free time for shopping in Italy's best-known outlet area. You can take a break at these shopping centres, visited by locals and tourists, and browse for souvenirs and personal items. After our tour, we depart for Bologna. On arrival, you are transferred to your hotel and given free time to rest.

After breakfast, we depart from Bologna for Milan. On arrival, we begin a panoramic tour of Milan. Located in northern Italy, Milan is a centre for fashion, design and business. One of the city's landmarks, Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano), is an example of Gothic architecture. It is the world's fifth-largest church and one of Europe's largest Gothic cathedrals. Its white marble exterior features detailed carvings, while its front facade has numerous statues and carvings. The golden Madonnina statue at the top of the cathedral is regarded as the city's patron saint. Located right next to the Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is a shopping arcade known for its glass roof and mosaic floors. The arcade houses luxury brand stores, cafés and restaurants. The building has four main entrances, the best known of which faces Piazza del Duomo. The architecture visible from this entrance combines modern engineering with traditional art. After the tour, we transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is set aside for rest.

After breakfast, we check out of our rooms. There is free time until the transfer. We meet at the time announced by our guide and travel by private coach to Bergamo Airport. We fly to İzmir with Corendon Airlines. Our tour ends upon arrival in İzmir. We hope to see you again on another tour.
