Italy Tour

We meet at Ankara Airport’s international departures terminal three hours before the flight. After completing baggage, ticketing and boarding procedures, we fly to Bergamo on a Corendon Airlines charter flight. On arrival, we board the private coach waiting for us at the airport and travel to Lake Garda. We take a short break at Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake. We then depart for Venice at the time specified by our guide. On arrival in Venice, we transfer to our hotel. You have free time to rest.

After breakfast, we set off for Venice. Upon reaching Tronchetto Port, we take a short ferry ride to San Marco Square and begin our panoramic city tour. At the far end of the square stands San Marco Basilica, known for its gold mosaics and Byzantine architecture. The Bridge of Sighs (Ponte dei Sospiri), where prisoners took a final look at the city on their way to their cells, is also located here. During the tour, we will see Rialto Bridge, the Doge’s Palace, the Bell Tower and Clock Tower, and Giorgio Maggiore Church. After the city tour, we depart for Bologna. Upon arrival, we begin our panoramic tour of Bologna. Sights along the route include the Neptune Fountain, Piazza Maggiore (Main Square), the Old Stock Exchange Building, Europe’s first university building, Quadrilatero (old market), and the Garisenda and Asinelli Towers. After our visit to Bologna, we set off for Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, we transfer to our hotel, followed by free time to rest.

After breakfast in Florence, we begin our Portofino-Pisa tour. Our first stop is Portofino, one of the coastal towns on the Italian Riviera. Visited by artists, film stars and travellers from around the world, the town is known for its pastel-coloured houses, harbour lined with moored boats and views of the Gulf of Genoa. Here, you can walk through the narrow streets, stop for an espresso at the harbourside cafés and photograph the townscape that has remained unchanged for centuries. After visiting Portofino, we continue to Pisa. Here, we will have the opportunity to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa up close and take souvenir photos. The tower has attracted travellers for centuries and is considered one of the seven wonders of the world. We will also see Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), a UNESCO World Heritage Site right next to the tower, along with its cathedral and baptistery. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Afterwards, there is free time to rest.

After breakfast, we begin our panoramic city tour of Florence. As the birthplace of the Renaissance and the city where it developed, Florence holds an important place in the world's cultural heritage. Artists and scientists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli and Brunelleschi worked with the support of the Medici family in this city, which saw advances in art, science and philosophy. Sights on the tour include the Arno River, which divides Florence in two, Ponte Vecchio Bridge, known for its jewellers, Palazzo Vecchio and Piazza Della Signoria Square, home to the Renaissance statues of Hercules and David. We will also see Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore Duomo), with Italy's 3rd highest dome, and the Baptistery, known for its door. After the panoramic city tour of Florence, we depart for Rome. Upon arrival in Rome, you will be transferred to your hotel and have free time to rest.

After breakfast, we depart for Rome. On our tour of Rome, which has been home to emperors, gladiators and works of art throughout its history, we view Castel Sant’Angelo, where Cem Sultan was imprisoned, from the outside. Built as a mausoleum by the Roman Emperor Hadrian, Castel Sant’Angelo was later converted into a fortress and used as a prison and papal fortress during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Our next stop is the Colosseum, where gladiators and wild animals once fought before spectators. After viewing the Colosseum from the outside, we head to the Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi), made famous by the film La Dolce Vita. Here, we see the fountain and its statues. Other sights on our route include the Roman Forum, the social, commercial and religious centre of its time, the Temple of Hadrian, the Pantheon and the Spanish Steps, consisting of 135 steps, with the sunken boat fountain at their base. We then head to St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican. Upon arrival, we have free time to visit the square. You can see the obelisk in the centre and the surrounding columns.

After breakfast in Rome, we begin our Lakes District & Outlet, Castel Gandolfo/Nemi tour. Built around a castle, Castel Gandolfo is known for its stone streets, historic buildings and natural surroundings. Lake Nemi is near the town. The Papal Palace in the centre is one of the places where popes have rested for centuries. Gardens and flower-lined walking paths surround the palace. Nemi is known for its strawberry fields and its Strawberry Festival, celebrated every year. After visiting Nemi, we provide free time for shopping in Italy's most famous outlet area. At these shopping centres, visited by locals and tourists, you can buy souvenirs and items for your personal needs. We take a break here after exploring Rome's historical and cultural sites. After our tour, we depart for Bologna. Upon arrival, a transfer to your hotel is provided, followed by free time to rest.

After breakfast, we depart from Bologna for Milan. Upon arrival, we begin our panoramic tour of Milan. Located in northern Italy, Milan is a center for fashion, design and business. One of the city's well-known landmarks, Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano), is an example of Gothic architecture. The world's fifth-largest church, it is also one of Europe's largest Gothic cathedrals. Its white marble exterior is decorated with detailed carvings. The front features numerous statues and carvings. The golden Madonnina statue at the very top of the cathedral is regarded as the city's patron saint. Next to the Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is a shopping arcade known for its glass roof and mosaic floors. It houses luxury brand stores, cafés and restaurants. Of the arcade's four main entrances, the best known opens onto Piazza del Duomo. The building's architecture brings together modern engineering and traditional art. After the tour, we transfer to the hotel. There is free time to rest.

After breakfast, we check out of our rooms. There is free time until the transfer. We meet at the time specified by our guide and travel by private coach to Bergamo Airport. We depart for Ankara with Corendon Airlines. Our tour ends upon arrival in Ankara. We look forward to seeing you again on another tour.
