Villa Milka

I have booked the vila for 4 nights stay with my husband and our 3 months old baby. I was advised by the hotel management that they prefer cash payments. I’ve told them that if I miss the payment Booking.com will cancel my booking, and they said this won’t happen. As I expected, Booking.com did cancel my booking so I’ve asked if I still have a reservation. They have responded that “they might have a superior room, let’s see what they can do”. That room was more expensive, and I couldn’t rely on “let’s see” whilst travelling with a baby. They never responded to my last enquiry. This is all last minute, a day before my trip. I looked at their reviews and it seem to have happened before for them to cancel a booking and charge for a more expensive room.

Outrageous experience. I booked a stay through the webpage of the hotel on the 2nd of July and got my confirmation email for a triple room for 5 days. Today, when we arrived for the check-in, the receptionist told us that they don't check their webpage email. When I showed her the confirmation email the hotel sent us, she refused to lodge us because the price on their webpage was not as high as the ones they have on booking. My seven-year-old was almost crying, but they only offered us to stay in a double room (my booking was for a triple superior room) for one night and then leave. Terrible terrible experience. If you value your mental health don't go there
