Park Lakeside Hotel

We had a really nice stay here. The views are stunning, right on the lake. So wherever you are (the rooftop bar or the restaurant on the ground floor), you’re always looking out at the water, the snowy mountains and the city of Ohrid. One thing we really loved is that the hotel has its own docking port. We took a boat tour around the lake directly from there, and I’d definitely recommend it. The scenery is beautiful and it’s one of the highlights of the trip. It’s also well connected to the city. There’s a nicely done walking path along the lake that we used, which made getting into town easy. Breakfast was very good too. Since we went in late April (still off-peak), it was served à la carte instead of a buffet. There was a good variety of dishes and drinks, and everything felt fresh and well prepared. Overall, a great spot if you want to relax and enjoy the lake views while still having easy access to the city.

A very bad hotel at a prime location and a prime (looking) building. No wi-fi in the rooms. No tiolet paper holder, no holder for shpwer piece. We were there on a tour, some friends complaint about a terrible smell in their rooms. ================ They had a response to my comment. The entrance to building, the documents in the room, the key chain I had and the area we had dinner and breakfast had their name and logo. I think their response is confusing. 😮

I do not recommend this place. The rooms were just okay — not fully clean. For example, the towels in my room had visible signs of use. The worst part was the food. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Lunch and dinner were truly disappointing. Guests only had two options, and the chicken steak was completely tasteless. It was obvious it had been microwaved — the hotel brings the food from another restaurant located 4–5 kilometers away and microwaves it in the hotel restaurant. Even the waiter struggled to serve it because the plates were extremely hot from the microwave. The result was cold, flavorless food that was very unpleasant to eat. The service was far from good, and the management was poor. On a positive note, the location and views are nice, but poor management and terrible food ruin the experience.
