A very pleasant stay at the Sofitel Marseille Vieux-Port, with genuinely friendly service and an exceptionally comfortable bed. Check-in was very welcoming and already possible at 13:00. The room was comfortable, although the courtyard view was not particularly inspiring. Deliveries also made it quite noisy early in the morning, and the curtains did not fully darken the room. The bar is a highlight, with fantastic views and very good cocktails, although the food and snacks were disappointing. Service throughout the stay was friendly, and I also appreciated the turndown service. Check-out at 13:00 was no problem. ALL Platinum recognition: 3/5. No upgrade and no mention of status at check-in. The small amenity (soap bar) received during turndown may have been the welcome gift, although this was never explained. Early check-in and late check-out were appreciated. Overall impression: 4/5. A very good Sofitel with lovely staff, a superb bed and a fantastic bar. I would happily return, but would choose a room away from the courtyard next time.
What a beautiful hotel. We had a terrace port view. Amazing. Alexandria and Sasha were the two most patient, hospitable, loveliest people in France. The entire staff was amazing. Thank you so much for a fantastic experience.
Open review on GoogleI do not recommend this hotel. It definitely does not deserve a 5-star rating. The staff were rude, rooms were dirty, we waited 40 minutes for breakfast and find a hair in the scrambled eggs. Absolutely unacceptable. Never again!
