⭐☆☆☆☆ Inhumane Treatment & Corporate Retaliation – I am writing this to warn future travelers and business professionals about a severe lack of human empathy, baseline safety standards, and outright corporate retaliation at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel. During an active, hazardous East Coast Code Red air quality and extreme heat emergency, I used the hotel lobby as temporary shelter to manage transit logistics. Earlier that same day, I was actively inside their public gift shop inquiring about purchasing a mask for climate protection—meaning I was explicitly conducting business with their onsite retail ecosystem. Despite these fluid emergency conditions, I was approached by the security manager, who showed zero sensitivity, abruptly ordered me to leave, and actively hid his identity by refusing to provide his first and last name when I asked for clarification. Ejecting a retail patron directly into toxic climate conditions completely disrupts the core pillars of hospitality and is flat-out inhumane. Furthermore, this hotel suffers from massive Inconsistent Enforcement & Customer Blame. I have used this lobby before boarding my train on multiple previous occasions while working an event in Philadelphia. Not once did a single staff member mention a restricted lobby policy. It is incredibly poor business practice to fail at communicating protocol, and then make that lack of internal consistency the visitor's problem. If a policy existed, it should have been communicated on my first visit—not aggressively enforced on my fifth or sixth. That failure belongs to the staff's training, not to the public. When escalated directly to the global C-suite, I provided irrefutable, timestamped text message screenshots proving my exact transit timeline and professional coordination during the weather hazard. Rather than taking professional accountability for their completely inconsistent policy enforcement or their manager's hostile behavior, the corporate representative issued a cold, defensive letter banning me from the property. Marriott International would rather ban a customer who brings hard digital evidence of their training failures than fix their dangerous operational gaps. They completely disregard human safety during regional crises and retaliate when caught in a massive contradiction: I was a guest doing business and was asked to leave during a Code Red Weather alert, having never been asked to leave before. Do your business elsewhere. Stay at the Borgata down the street instead, where actual safety compliance, true luxury, and professional ethics still exist. Response To This Matter From Corporate Representative: Thank you for your thoughtful response and for providing additional context regarding your experience. We appreciate the time you have taken to share your perspective, and we have carefully reviewed the points you raised. We understand your concerns regarding the consistency of policy enforcement and recognize that your experience did not meet your expectations. We also acknowledge your viewpoint regarding the events that occurred and appreciate your willingness to explain them in greater detail. After a thorough review of the circumstances and all correspondence related to this matter, our position remains unchanged. While we respect your perspective, we have determined that we are unable to continue the guest relationship. As such, you will no longer be welcome on our property. This decision was made after careful consideration and is based on the totality of the interactions and circumstances surrounding this matter. It is final and will not be reconsidered. We appreciate the time you have taken to communicate with us and wish you the very best in your future travels. Sincerely, Local Representative

I was hesitating after reading some of the reviews. They are very misleading. Some complaints about not getting the upgrade because of their status. I am a titanium member and I got an upgrade without even asking for it. I hope people understand if the hotel has a high occupancy during the week. You will not get an upgrade even when the suite is available when they said they check it online. I read some reviews complaining about the staffs which is absolutely incorrect. Their service is absolutely amazing and they will try their best to accommodating what you need. Some reviews mention the hotel is outdated. Our room has everything of what we need. Two bottles of waters free of charge, ac is working and the bathroom is functioning and clean. The water pressure is bit low due to the level of 16th floor. I am sure the lower floor has better pressure. But I had no problem with it. Parking is $20 per day which I think is reasonable in the area. Please don’t expect too much from the 16th floor executive lounge for higher members. It is really a place for hanging out with friends. I am comfortable to return in Oct for another stay. Hope this review will clarify others when they book this hotel.

The hotel was out dated. Rugs were not clean, and had an old smell. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable. Also, our room was freezing cold. I turn the thermostat up to 80 and the temperature only reached 68 degrees. I spoke to the front desk the next day. Someone came and checked it, but said they were only able to turn the cold off so we can get heat. At night it ended up being too hot. You should be able to control the temperature in your room without having to call someone each time to adjust the thermostat. Not good! Also, we paid for breakfast which was not worth the amount for the quality of breakfast we got here. We get the same quality of breakfast for free at other hotels. The paid breakfast is a ripoff. The plates were dirty, they had grease on them with dried food stuck to the bottom and the top of some plates. Very nasty. The food had no variety for the amount you pay. Only pork bacon or sausage. What about chicken or turkey sausage. Very disappointed in the breakfast experience. I was disappointed in my experience at the Sheraton. When I returned to Atlantic City I would not stay here again.
