Promenade City Hotel

The hotel is in a perfect location! We couldn’t been happier. So many worth to see places are in a walks distance and the area are really beautiful, cafes and shops around. Bed was really comfortable and rooms overall was good, you can see some signs of weeat, but it doesn’t affect anything. We Enjoyed the stay with kids. If I could suggest something - replace small body lotion bottle with shampoo. Shower gel and shampoo are good enough. The only thing was the brakfast – the room is really small to fit all the guests and the brekfast could have been better - simply sausages, bacon (I dont know why you need to complicate the dish and make bacon and eggplant rolls), good omlette and salad, bread bar is totally good. Now all the buns and croissants were so hardened and inedible. Juices tasted like water with a bit of flavoured powder. I liked that they gave additional juice and fruit for the kids to take away.

Great location, nice size rooms, comfy bed, and friendly, helpful staff. Language was a bit of a barrier at times but staff were patient. The bathroom was well laid out BUT FAIR WARNING: the bathtub/shower was difficult to get in and out of. We are in our 70s but in great shape but getting in and out was dangerously slick and tub has high sides. But water was hot and plentiful. Also a decent breakfast. Overall a great hotel in the middle of a FABULOUS city!

I would rate this hotel 3 stars overall. The location is excellent, right on Váci Utca, which made it very convenient for exploring the city. However, the hotel itself is quite narrow, and our room faced inward toward the elevator area, so the view was not very pleasant. The room was small but manageable for two people. Unfortunately, the breakfast was disappointing and did not meet expectations on the first day but the second day it was better. The biggest issue was the shower, as the water pressure was very poor. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which we appreciated.
