Panoramas of the Danube and Parliament from Fisherman's Bastion

The experience

About this experience

On the Buda side, the white stone turrets and arched terraces of Fisherman's Bastion look across the Danube to Parliament. With its neo-Gothic detail, the terrace is among the most photographed spots in the city. River, bridges and daylight come together in a view that does not reward a quick pass.

Finding space on the terrace is harder at busy times, and early morning is calmer. Bring a light jacket against the wind. Hold your phone horizontally to frame Parliament. Using the arches between the turrets as a frame adds depth to the picture.
