As evening falls, the boat glides along the Danube past the historic buildings of Budapest. Bridges, Parliament and the castle hill are lit from below and reflected in the water. A drink in hand on deck is the calmest way to spend an evening here.
The cruise lasts one hour. It can be cool and windy on the river, so bring a light jacket. For photographs, choose a spot near the rail. Cruises run from spring through autumn, and Parliament looks at its best once the lights come on.
