Novotel Bern Expo

Avoid this hotel! This was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. The first room should never have been allocated to guests. It was filthy, with blood stains on the toilet door, stained carpets, thick dust around the air conditioning vent, a dirty bathroom, a faulty shower, and what appeared to be mould on the ceiling once it had been cleaned. We were forced to spend the first night in these unacceptable conditions before being moved. The replacement room was only marginally better and was clearly not suitable for a family of four. To fit the sofa bed, the hotel had pushed one of the beds against the wall and removed the bedside tables, leaving my child sleeping directly beneath a hanging bedside light that was never designed to be positioned over a bed. The reception staff (Jessica and Sasha, thank you) did their best and were helpful throughout. Unfortunately, the Front Office Manager’s (Jean-Philippe Henquel) response was completely unacceptable. Rather than taking responsibility, they considered a couple of complimentary breakfasts to be adequate compensation for an experience that fell far below any reasonable hotel standard. We were refused even a partial refund. We have photographs documenting the condition of both rooms, and they speak for themselves. This hotel failed in the most basic responsibility of providing clean, safe and suitable accommodation. We will not be returning and would strongly advise others to book elsewhere.

One of the best stays ever in my life. We was here for 1 day but its worth it. The hotel rooms are clean very hygienic and have a absolute view. The staffs are so cute and joyful i dont remember his name but there were 1 man in the recepcion he even gifted us 2 cat plusshy thanks to that man he is the GOAT. Then every floor has a water tank that u can fill up ur water that was really important cause in sunday everywhere is closed and u can fill ur water there. So i least but not the beast this is the best hotel in bern and the best hotel in switzerland i think. If u are in bern COME TO THIS HOTEL🙏🏻
