The building is charming ab overall we had a good stay with kids, thy had a lot of indoor space to explore. However, it does not feel 5 star go the following reasons 1) as other reviews mentioned - there are many dogs and big dogs, they bark to each other even in the fancy dinner hall. Was not safe for kids. 2) the room heating was out of control and set for 25 C. We were boiling. We were told it cannot be changed so we had to keep window open to improve air. So during the night I had to keep opening and closing the window to make temperature bearable as it is winter 3) the restaurant - there is a mismatch between meal description and what you get. When I gently pointed it out, the waiter was accommodating but not very kind. For kids, the meal says cinnamon but you get it with Kakao. Makes quite a difference. Same for other meals so better confirm the meal as you order. 4) big one- put room would smell strong like burning wood after 9pm. I was told it from the wood burning furnaces in the reception area. Not sure how safe it was to sleep in such smoky air and why it was getting inside our room (114). O reported it to the reception but we were not offered any solution or price reduction, we were just told it’s from the furnaces. So, again I had to open windows at night. The building so charming and pretty, the pool and gym area are nice, just the pool is quite deep so suitable only for well swimming kids. The approach to the hotel was steep and icy, something to consider if you have a stroller or mobility issue. But overall, a nice stay. Breakfast was as described by others - ok and nothing special. I ordered the same coffee each day and got something else each time.

The golf course was also fun and well-kept. We loved the food too. Plenty of options and everything tasted great. Overall, a great spot for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. Looking forward to coming back!
