Hôtel Eden Palace au Lac

I stayed in their villa with mountain view. The view here is absolutely stunning. Rooms were spacious and clean. They did a good job cleaning up the room and topping up the complimentary water every day. The room is located at level 3, a separate building from the hotel itself. The climb up to 3rd level is quite hectic, they do have staff to help with luggage if needed. The shower head for the bathroom is very small, takes quite awhile to shower,,a rain shower set might make the experience much better. Breakfast spread is good, nice pastry but the coffee machine is bad (e.g. too much milk in cappuccino, slow to top up milk when run out) and food (e.g. scrambled eggs) top up can take quite awhile. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Location wise is also quite convenient, can take a nice stroll with lake view and there is denners or Migros at an adjacent building. Guests are also given riveria card which can help with some attraction entrance fees for those without travel pass. Would stay again for the view.

We recently stayed at the eden palace VILLA. The view was absolutely stunning because we stayed near the lake view. The breakfast spread was good. Palace looks good, room is very spacious. There’s a mall nearby n a lot of supermarkets n shops nearby which is good! However, there’s a few disadvantages if you are planning to stay at the VILLA: 1) the Eden palace VILLA have no lift, so basically you have to climb up/down the stairs, along with your handcarry and your luggage’s when you checkout/ leave the room. IMPORTANT note if you are traveling with an elderly. 2) Bathroom: No rainshower is fine, but shower head is a too small, especially for someone with thick, voluminous hair will spent longer time in the bathroom. There’s no additional door to close when you are showering, so the toilet floor can be very wet. Musty smell because of the wet toilet. ( they did provide additional towels but still not enough ) 3) The walk to the villa/eden palace can be tiring. Do take note there’s slope, the walk is about 10-15mins. You can take the bus if needed. 4) I wish they could provide a mini fridge or small pantry area. But I guess because the shops are nearby so these are not included. My verdict: if u are ok with the above, will recommend to stay here :)

Beautiful Hotel in a great location. The room was okay. We thought we were getting a lake view room, but we didn't. Our room was mediocre. Bathroom wasn't clean, no working AC, pillowcases on back pillows were dusty/dirty. Mini fridge didn't work. Someone brought up a fan for our room which was nice. Might want to check room 209- the rust / mold in the bathroom is gross. Front desk people, some of them were good, some of them not so much. One girl not friendly at all and asked if my reservation was under a different name even though she had it right in front of her. I don't find the check-in process to go smoothly. Finally another woman came over to help. We felt like were weren't treated as nicely as some of the other guests who we saw check in. We asked to change rooms but nothing else was available... our stay was Saturday, May 23.
