Fairmont Le Montreux Palace

We stayed 2 nights on our honeymoon in a Lake View Jr Suite and the hotel was completely full with an American business conference that made the stay challenging. The restaurants and public areas were completely full to the brim with large, loud business executives making a family vacation out of their work trip. The pool is small and was crowded with young kids (make sure you check when family hours are!) and we were splashed while sitting at the pool and the parents didn't seem to care. We are pretty tolerant with kids but the behavior of these guests was more Holiday Inn than Fairmont. We had requested a high floor but it wasn't able to be granted so it was disappointing and loud club music from below until past 03:00 kept us up. The staff was incredibly friendly, the food all amazing. The breakfast buffet staff was exceptionally good. They comp'd one of our nights due to an issue with the toilet door getting jammed and trapping my wife inside in the middle of the first night. I was very impressed with how well the staff treated us despite the other guests. The waterfront area was full of forklifts and cranes tearing down the Jazz Festival so I would avoid this area if it's after the festival. We had a very nice time in Montreux walking further West. I wish the room descriptions said that the Jr Suites were in the separate but attached building. We had to take two elevators and walk far to get to our room, but probably for the best to be further from the conference folks. Other Fairmonts offer "high floor" options when booking rooms and I would have chosen that if it were offered, especially at a location where the low floors have a limited view of the lake. Not the best experience, but the staff was amazing and made sure to check on us repeatedly.

The Fairmont always exceeds our highest dreams. Samir at the front desk was especially professional, informative and inviting. He was there all three days and always had a smile on his face and offering assistance. I had a massage at the spa with Bouchra and it was honestly the best massage of my life. She is so kind, knowledgeable and intuitive. Anna at La Terrasse took care of us on our last night for dinner. The lobster linguine, tomato salad, melon gazpacho and perch were excellent. We look forward to being back soon.

Simply exceptional. We stayed at the Fairmont Montreux and honestly, everything was perfect from start to finish. The team went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We were treated to a lovely room upgrade, strawberries and champagne in our room, incredible food, and one of the best breakfast-in-bed experiences we've ever had. Throughout our stay, every member of staff was patient, accommodating, and genuinely happy to help - nothing ever felt like too much trouble. One moment that really stood out was when we found ourselves needing a specific item at very short notice. The team somehow managed to source it incredibly quickly, which genuinely saved the day! The service was outstanding throughout, but what made it truly memorable was how warm and caring everyone was. We felt looked after, welcomed, and valued from beginning to end. We've already recommended the Fairmont Montreux to so many people and can't wait to return ourselves. Thank you to the entire team for such a special experience.
