Aloft is a city hotel brand designed by Starwood that opened its first hotel in 2008; it moved to Marriott with Starwood in 2016. It was conceived as a more affordable sibling of W Hotels. Loft-style rooms, live music nights and technology-led service aim it at younger travellers.
