Coastal Maya ruins overlooking the Caribbean Sea in Tulum
Tulum · Mexico
About this experience
At Tulum, Maya ruins stand on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean. Stone buildings, El Castillo and low walls sit just above turquoise water. Watching the sea from the edge, history and view meet in a single frame.
There is little shade on site, so a hat, water and sunscreen are essential. Mornings may help you beat the crowds. Climbing on or touching the ruins is generally not allowed. Watch the rails and signs when photographing from the cliff edge.
