About this experience
Osaka Castle rises in a castle park surrounded by broad moats and stone walls. From the upper floors you see the city skyline and the green around it; the building is linked to the era of Toyotomi Hideyoshi and recalls Japan's age of unification. In its present form the castle is a reconstruction.
Paths around the moat are easy, and a hat and water help in summer. Inside the castle you use stairs or a lift. The park is large, and soft morning light is good for photographs.
