Traditional hanok stay and local dinner in Andong
Andong · South Korea
About this experience
Andong is known as one of the cities in Korea that keeps its traditional culture most intact. Staying in a hanok means sleeping in a timber-framed house with paper-covered doors, on bedding laid over a heated floor. Dinner brings regional dishes to the table, and the day closes in the hush of a courtyard.
Shoes come off at the entrance of a hanok, so slip-ons are handy. Underfloor heating keeps nights warm, and light pyjamas are enough. If you have back or knee trouble, mention the floor bedding beforehand.
