From a high viewing terrace in Tagaytay you see the volcano in the middle of Lake Taal and the crater lake inside it. The volcanic island resembles an island on the lake, and on a clear day the view is wide and layered. It is a simple scenic stop, ideal for a short break away from Manila.
A walk along the terrace and a brief stop are enough. Tagaytay is cool, so bring a light jacket. On misty or cloudy days the lake may not show, and early mornings are often clearer.
