About this experience
The boat leaves the Playa del Carmen coast and heads out to Cozumel. Coral reefs around the island shelter shoals of colourful fish beneath clear water. Slipping in with mask and snorkel and drifting along the reef is the heart of this trip.
Open-water swimming and climbing in and out of the boat take effort, and you need to be able to swim. Do not touch coral, and use reef-friendly sunscreen. Seasick-prone travellers should sort a remedy beforehand. Mornings tend to bring calmer water.
