Historic train ride to Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado Mountain
Rio de Janeiro · Brazil
About this experience
You go up Corcovado Mountain on a historic railway through the forest. At the top, the Christ the Redeemer statue opens its arms over the coastline, the bay and the mountain outline of Rio de Janeiro. Rising by train gives the pleasure of approaching the view slowly.
You meet this stop in the daily plan of 4 tours. Nothing about it is demanding. The terrace can be crowded, and on cloudy days the statue may be wrapped in mist; choosing a clear day raises the odds but does not guarantee the view. Bring sun protection and comfortable shoes. Train times are limited, so arriving early helps.
