Baščaršija is the historic centre of Sarajevo, with cobbled lanes, a traditional bazaar and historic mosques from the Ottoman period.
The sights include the Sebilj fountain and Pigeon Square, the historic clock tower, the Sacred Heart Cathedral and Morica Han, the only Ottoman caravanserai still standing from that era. It is a walk best done slowly.
