The Tokyo Station

Our stay at the Tokyo Station Hotel was exceptional from start to finish and easily deserving of five stars. The level of service throughout the hotel was outstanding, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making every aspect of our stay memorable. The breakfast was one of the best we've ever experienced, with an incredible selection of both beautifully prepared Japanese specialties and high-quality Western options. We also had a fantastic dinner at Sushi Asanogawa, where the craftsmanship, freshness, and impeccable hospitality made for an unforgettable omakase experience. To end the evenings, we visited Bar Camellia, which offered an elegant atmosphere, expertly crafted cocktails, and first-class service. Combined with the hotel's beautiful historic setting and unbeatable location within Tokyo Station, this was truly one of the finest hotel experiences we've had. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Tokyo.

Staying at The Tokyo Station Hotel was a really special experience. The biggest highlight is definitely the location, right inside Tokyo Station, which makes travel extremely convenient while still feeling very luxurious. The hotel has a beautiful classic design with a mix of historic European-style interiors and modern comfort. Walking through the corridors feels calm and elegant, almost like stepping into a different time. The room was very comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Everything felt carefully prepared, from the bedding to the small details in the room. Service was excellent. Staff were polite, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it’s not just a hotel, it feels like an experience in itself. Perfect for anyone who wants comfort, history, and convenience all in one place.

The best decision I made for our trip to Japan was staying at this hotel for the 3 days we were in Tokyo. It is located in part of the preserved historical train station and has a rich history. The rooms were wonderful with high ceilings and period appropriate decorations. Our room had a Onsen style tub that was very relaxing after a day on foot in Tokyo. Staff was very friendly helpful and spoke English well which made our first few days in Japan much easier. The real value of this hotel is its location though. The hotel has 2 private entrances to the modern Tokyo station which allows you to access a train or subway route to anywhere in Tokyo as well as routes to other cities. To get around Tokyo you will with few exceptions need to access the vast train and subway system which is the best system I’ve experienced. Where ever you go in Tokyo during your stay will always have a convenient efficient way back to your hotel room which you will appreciate after a long day and you are tired. Some people critique the long corridor hallways which split off and all look the same with period appropriate decor. I advise you listen when they escort you to your room as the bellman pointed out the different color of the light bulb that allows you to know where the elevator is which avoids confusion in the otherwise long hallways that can get you lost at first. They offer a wonderful breakfast buffet in morning with a mixture of western/American breakfast items as well as a good variety Japanese offerings all done very well and I highly recommend. Our trip was for 3 weeks so we utilized the laundry service in the hotel and they completed it the same day with the highest level of quality and each article of clothing was folded with a slip of paper and sealed in a cellophane bag much like you would find when you bought a shirt new at the store. I remarked to my wife that we will likely never see this level of quality and service again. The hotel is not inexpensive but you definitely get what you pay for and I would not hesitate to splurge on this hotel again in a return trip to Tokyo. This is truly a high class hotel with an indispensable luxury of access to the cities largest transit station.
