Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba

Beautiful calm hotel with well sized rooms for Tokyo at a reasonable price. Very convenient for the Yurikamome line and visiting Team Lab planets. Fantastic view from the hotel, from our room we could see, Tokyo Bay, the rainbow bridge, Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Sky Tree. The Yurikamome line also offered great views and we enjoyed our trips on the line both day and night. This is great place to stay if you are travelling with children and want easy access to the malls of Odaiba. There is small and lovely park for running and jogging a 3 minute walk from the hotel. The concierge staff were exceptionally professional and helpful and managed to help us get a booking at Ameizake Ameshin in Asakusa to learn the ancient craft of Japanese candy sculpting.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba. The hotel is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and the rooms are spacious by Tokyo standards. The beds were very comfortable, and the view of Tokyo Bay made every morning special. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and always willing to help. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and everyone made us feel genuinely welcome. The location is excellent—quiet, yet very convenient. It's just a short walk to the train station, with easy access to the rest of Tokyo. Odaiba is a fantastic area with great restaurants, shopping, and beautiful waterfront views. The breakfast offered a wide variety of both Japanese and Western dishes, and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect place to relax after busy days exploring Tokyo, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

I’d like to point out that I have stayed at this hotel for 8 nights and I do not recommend it to Europeans/Americans - this hotel will not meet your expectations. Detailed review below: 0 ⭐️ Gym/pool - outdoor pool is open 1 month a year so don’t count on it. On top of that, if you have tattooed you are NOT welcome to use the gym or the pool. As a western person I have one tattoo so I wasn’t able to use these amenities during my stay which was a big reason why I chose this hotel. 2⭐️ rooms are large but the executive suite interior is old and all furniture is scratched - I was disappointed once I entered the room. The size of the room is large, but it is not luxury (which is expected at this price point) 5 ⭐️ room cleaning - this is the only service at the hotel that was consistently good. Very-very clean! Five stars for this and shut out to cleaning staff, if only the rest of the hotel could keep up. 1⭐️ for restaurants. I am an executive who travels solo for work. When I arrived to eat at the restaurant on the 30th floor and asked for a table I was put at an empty bar just because I travel alone. There were at least 20 empty tables and off peak hours so this was extra upsetting. The food was very average and 100% the worst food I’ve had in Japan. 3⭐️ spa - I got a massage and it was okay. I am lucky I was accepted to get a massage, because they also had a no tattoo sign but the massage girl said she was okay with it. It is a very light massage so while relaxing as an experience, not strong as a massage. 1⭐️ room service personnel along with all the staff that isn’t front desk don’t speak English more than 20-30 words. Basic questions about the menu couldn’t be answered. The food itself comes from the restaurant so also extremely average. 1⭐️ Last but not least - executive lounge. Doesn’t have outlets for laptops, doesn’t have rooms to take calls. I was working here all day on my last day after check out and brought lunch (you can’t order lunch in there but there are light snacks and drinks so people do eat there) and I was asked to: !!! take my food and sit OUTSIDE of the hotel and eat and then I would allowed to come back. How would you like after paying $4k for your stay and be kicked out to eat at the curb? While I was writing this review a manager of the lounge came forward to me to say that I am not allowed to stay in the lounge and wait for my flight. And that if I would like to stay I need to pay 5000 yen per hour I stay. This is the service I got after 8 night $4000 stay at Grand Nikko. Never had this kind of nightmare service experience anywhere else. I’ve stayed at APA hotel for example and it was excellent comparing to this. Not worth it - stay away.
