Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel & Business Center, Moscow

I have stayed here before in 2025, great hotel, nice people, good location. Spent a week here in Jan 2026...and tried to stay again for a week at end of January but Ostovok wouldn't let me use a Visa to make booking (and pay cash at desk) which I had been able to do all over Russia in Vladivostok, Irkutsk & St Petersburg this year...and Radisson wouldn't help when I called to book direct...so ended up staying at Azimuth up on Arbat St...nice hotel, similar price...and will stay there again..I dance with the one what brung me...Radisson, adios...

First of all, the most important thing for me in a hotel is cleanliness, and they were really good in this regard. Whenever I called the reception, they were very helpful. Since it is a business hotel, they provide water in the rooms, but I had already finished mine. When I asked for extra, they kindly brought more to my room without any hesitation. Before going to the fair, there was, of course, an open buffet breakfast with unlimited options. As you can see from the photos, it was really great and very successful. However, something I experienced really upset me. In general, even if you know English in Russia, you face serious communication problems if you don’t know Russian. In some places, people deliberately respond in Russian. I didn’t experience this at the reception, but when I went to breakfast wearing my coat, they forced me to take it off. They said that you cannot enter the unlimited breakfast area with a coat. I found this very strange because, as you know, the weather in Russia is extremely cold. During my stay between February 8–12, 2026, the temperature dropped to -20°C. When I explained that it was cold and I wanted to keep my coat on, they insisted that I had to take it off. It made me feel uncomfortable, as if they thought I might hide food in my pockets and take it back to my room. This really upset me, especially considering that such a well-established and well-known hotel, visited by many important people, would have such a rule. Apart from this, I didn’t experience any other negative situations. When I checked out, they didn’t even inspect the room and simply told me I could leave. If you stay at the hotel, you can also use the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi. Just keep in mind that if you don’t speak Russian, communication outside the hotel can be quite difficult.
