Murrayfield Hotel & Lodge

I wasn’t sure if I made the right decision choosing this hotel, but I’m so happy I did. First of all, getting from the airport to the hotel was super easy. You can get a bus ticket at the airport for Airline 100, which runs every 15 minutes, 24/7. The bus drops you off only about 4 minutes away from the hotel, which was very convenient. The hotel itself is only two floors and does not have an elevator. Thankfully, the stairs were manageable, and we had no problem carrying our luggage up to the second floor. We booked a room with two beds, and it was great. The room was clean, spacious, and faced a lovely garden. The bathroom was big and spotless, and we especially loved the heated towel rack. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. The restaurant downstairs was also good. The location was convenient too, with coffee shops and a Tesco about a 10 minute walk away. The main Old City is around a 45 minute walk if you choose to walk, but buses run constantly, so commuting was never an issue. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely come back here again.

Our wedding party stayed at The Murrayfield Hotel the weekend of our wedding. The whole experience with the hotel was exceptional. The booking process was made easy, with our own representative, Donna, managing the process and answering any queries we had. We stayed in the House a few doors down from the hotel which was beautiful. All the rooms were clean, comfortable and decorated well. The staff were incredible, very friendly and extremely accommodating, especially the supervisor who was on throughout the weekend. Every request we had they were happy to help including breakfast and lunch delivered to our room the morning of our wedding. We were put at ease knowing that the hotel staff were happy to help. I would recommend the Murrayfield Hotel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Edinburgh. We will definitely be back!

Murrayfield Hotel felt like the kind of place you wish you had booked for longer. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, great food, and a warm atmosphere that made us feel right at home. It’s in a peaceful location with easy access to the city, making it the perfect balance of relaxation and convenience. Would definitely stay here again!
