The Caledonian Edinburgh, Curio Collection by Hilton

First, I just want to be clear.... this hotel has a ghost that pulls the fire alarm far too frequently 😂 The staff at this hotel are phenomenal! Happy to assist and answer any and all questions, even if you have many (sorry about that). We left our room at different times each day, sometimes closer to noon than the morning, and housekeeping never once skipped our room. We had the most amazing view of the castle and a huge room, that was upgraded for us at check in. We were right next to the elevators and the noise from the hall never impacted our time here. The room itself was clean and beautiful. We stayed for 5 nights and really felt at home. I miss the shortbread biscuits! I love that the tea cups in the room have the Caledonian image on them (we ended up purchasing one to bring home). We only ate breakfast in the main dining area once, and it was OK. We came at the very end of the service hours, and I think the staff was eager to be done. But we didn't add on the breakfast option to our reservation (we are late risers) and we had no shortage of delicious and affordable options nearby. Can't wait to stay here again! (On the ghost note, the fire alarm went off twice during our stay. Once around midnight and again around 930am. In the lobby there is a clock that survived the Caledonian Railway Station fire of 1890..... coincidence? I don't know....)

I stayed at the Caledonian hotel with my granddaughter. May 20th for 3 days and 2 nights. I wanted to visit Edinburgh which I had only had one day to explore years ago. My granddaughter said I will go with you nanny and shall we do it in style, I said that’s a great idea. Well it was my 80th birthday and unbeknown to me she had told the receptionist or whoever when she booked us a room with.I said we must have single beds then I won’t disturb you. We were greeted in style as soon as we arrived and on checking in the lovely receptionist turned to me and wished me a very happy birthday, your room isn’t quite ready yet but on your return we have upgraded your room. Imagine our surprise and shock. When we returned a few hours later we were given our door card. Well what a lovely room with 2 double beds( amazing) beautiful bathroom and a view of the castle. On the coffee table there was a lovely bottle of champagne along with biscuits. Everything you would need for a wonderful memorable 3 days. Thank you so much to all staff and the management for our fantastic stay and you put the icing on the cake for my 80th, along with my granddaughter of course, Thank you from Pauline and Lauren. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

My stay at The Caledonian Edinburgh was genuinely one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Every member of the team was friendly, professional and always happy to help, which really added to the overall experience and atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. The rooms are beautifully designed, spacious, spotless and incredibly comfortable. The bed sheets and pillows deserve a special mention because they were honestly some of the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced in any hotel. After long day, getting back into that bed was pure luxury. The facilities throughout the hotel are exceptional and everything feels premium, relaxing and very well maintained. You can tell there is real attention to detail in every part of the guest experience. The location is also perfect — ideally situated for exploring Edinburgh and enjoying everything the city has to offer, while still feeling peaceful and relaxing inside the hotel itself. What really stood out to me was how complete the experience felt. Luxury, comfort, atmosphere, service and location all came together perfectly. It made my Scottish business trip feel genuinely special. I would highly recommend The Caledonian Edinburgh to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Scotland. We will definitely be returning.
