Insotel Fenicia Prestige Suites & Spa

Dear Management Team, I am currently staying at the Insotel Fenicia Prestige Suites & Spa and wanted to share some constructive feedback regarding the overall presentation and atmosphere of the hotel. The property itself has a beautiful setting, impressive architecture and clearly has the potential to feel like a very special five-star hotel. However, I have been disappointed by a number of details which, in my view, are preventing it from delivering the level of experience expected from a hotel of this category. In particular, I have noticed several decorative water features that are not operating, large areas and desks that appear quite empty with very little artwork or decoration, and communal spaces that feel rather dark during the daytime. There also appears to be very little background music or atmosphere throughout the day. Individually these may seem like relatively minor points, but collectively they make some of the public areas feel neglected and lacking in energy. A five-star hotel is not only about the size of the rooms or facilities; the lighting, decoration, maintenance, music and overall ambience are equally important to the guest experience. It is particularly noticeable because the hotel itself has so much potential. With better lighting, functioning water features, more artwork or floral displays, and some appropriate daytime background music, I believe the atmosphere could be transformed considerably without requiring major changes to the property. I am sharing this feedback genuinely constructively, as I feel the hotel could offer a much more impressive and luxurious experience with greater attention to these details. We spent two weeks in the hotel in a Junior Suite with sea view. The rooms are spacious, clean and well presented with a turn down service every day. The pool is large, very clean and well attended whilst the food in the hotel is really good at dinner and breakfast with lots of choice and fresh ingredients. If you’re choosing this hotel you are wanting a relaxing, quiet and chilled time with good access to the main town. Areas from our experience that would make you not choose the hotel - pool bar, shuts at 6 whilst the pool can stay open. For us this was a shame as this is best time of day when it’s cooler and you want to enjoy a quiet drink - staff, really friendly and polite but there aren’t enough of them. We waited over 30 minutes one morning to order a cab as reception was not manned correctly - lobby bar, devoid of any atmosphere, as per my other note if can take an age to get served and was lacking table service - being charged for water at dinner! This is free in you’re room and at breakfast yet in the evening you are charged, this wasn’t made clear to us at all - not being able to switch your half board dinner for lunch. There are numerous great places to eat in the town, it’s the only hotel that we’ve experienced that won’t allow this switch I agree the hotel deserves is star rating, as an experience I feel a few tweaks would make it all the better

We've stayed here many times (5, I think). The hotel is a very chill, quiet and classy place to stay. Don't come here expecting loud 'entertainment' in the evening. But, you do get lovely rooms, a nice pool area, and some good food. And the location is great; a short stroll to the quieter end of the beach, and 10 mins into the centre of Santa Eulalia. We stayed in a prestige suite, which was spacious, clean, and well equipped. The roof deck is great, you can sit in full sun or shade (there is a parasol), and it was really peaceful. My only criticism would be that certain aspects looked a bit faded. A refresh of furniture and cupboards wouldn't go amiss. The sheets, bedding and towels could also be softer, given this is a 5* hotel. Breakfast buffet is pretty good, nice and fresh and a good choice. Please, please, improve the coffee though - it's really not very good. Service was great, apart from our welcome at reception. The person who checked us in wasn't friendly. We only got offered a welcome drink after almost completing check-in. I really don't understand this. Almost everyone has had a long trip (we left at 4am) -- it doesn't take much to engage in friendly conversation. The saving grace was the porter who fetched our welcome drinks and took the luggage to the room, and showed us how things worked (the jacuzzi etc). He was really friendly. One last thing, thank you for the Cava and chocolates on the first day. A nice touch.
